In short

Custel is designed not to collect your data. The site doesn't track you, and the app processes everything on your device. This page explains what that means in practice.

This website

custel.eu is a static site: no cookies, no analytics, no third-party trackers, no fonts or scripts loaded from external CDNs. The only thing the site stores is your theme preference (light/dark), saved in your browser's localStorage: it stays on your device and is never transmitted. The hosting provider may keep minimal technical logs (such as IP addresses) required to run and secure the service.

The Custel app

Link enrichment and categorization happen entirely on your device. Your saved cust — links, article snapshots, images, collections and categories — stay local: there is no account, no sync to our servers, and no data is sent to us. To fill in the cards, the app fetches metadata directly from the sites you save, just like a browser would.

Custel-to-Custel sharing

When you share a collection, the data travels inside the link you generate and is imported only on the receiving device. Sharing happens exclusively on your explicit action.
